In an effort to uplift the status of the communities of Caraga Region socially and economically, member-agencies of CCARRD conducted R&D activities. The outputs of these various activities were presented during the 7th Coordinated Agency In-House Review (AIHR) on May 20-21, 2008 at DOST-Caraga, Ampayon, Butuan City.

PCARRD sponsors WCMS Training

To develop web pages on FITS Centers’ websites nationwide is the major focus of the three-day training course sponsored by PCARRD. Twenty-three (23) participants attended from the staff of different FITS Centers of Caraga CARRD and NOMCARRD, Region X. The enhanced Farmers Information Technology Service (FITS) – Information System (IS) and the Joomla Web Content Management System (WCMS) were introduced to the trainees at the College of Engineering, Computer Center, Musuan, Bukidnon, April 9-11, 2008.

Butuan City - The Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology - College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources Farmers' Information & Technology Services (NORMISIST - CASNR FITS) Center, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture-Biotech Program and BIONET, launched the Butuan Bionet-Biocommerce Center at the Farmers' Information Technology Services (FITS) Center, July 3, 2008, the second of its kind in the country.

Magsasakang Siyentista and FITS Staff of R and D Consortium in Caraga exposed to model aquaculture

Butuan City - The Techno Gabay Team of the Caraga Consortium for Agriculture Resources Research and Development (CCARRD) composed of Magsasakang Siyentista and Farmers Information Technology Service (FITS) Center Staff were exposed to the to model aquaculture and agricultural farms and Farmers Information Technology Service (FITS) Centers in Southern Leyte, supervised by the Visayas Consortium for Agriculture and Resources Program (ViCARP) during the three-day Lakbay Aral.
